The CRMC is open for business. However, the Government Center building is not open to the public (except for DMV by-appointments only). Some CRMC staff are at times working remotely, so please refer to the methods below for reaching staff as needed. Additionally we have updated and added several new FAQs that may help with answering many of your questions. Please check them out here http://www.crmc.ri.gov/faqs.html.
CRMC staff are conducting business via phone/conference calls, email, and virtual meetings, as well as continue field work and enforcement as needed. We continue to process applications as normal, with remote technology. However, any documentation should be emailed or sent through the US Postal Service, unless different arrangements have been made with specific staff members. Additionally Enforcement is on-call along with the rest of staff, so if you see something, please contact us as you normally would. Complaints can be phoned into our main number (401-783-3370) or emailed to our main account (email@example.com). Our enforcement staff will continue to respond to complaints and monitor for CRMC assent compliance during this time.
Information on our Sand Trail Passes (formerly Beach Vehicle Permits) can be found here - http://www.crmc.ri.gov/offroadvehicles.html. CRMC is now processing all Beach Vehicle Permits/Trail passes ONLINE - https://ri-crmc.viewpointcloud.com/. No walk-ins will be accepted.
