New GIS “Habitat Priority Planner” Tool
NOAA’s Coastal Services Center has developed a new GIS tool, the Habitat Priority Planner, that can assist coastal managers in sorting options, developing and comparing scenarios, and helping to answer questions about setting conservation boundaries, strategic conservation planning, criteria, and impacts. The tool and instructions for use are available for free download on CSC’s website at: http://www.csc.noaa.gov/hpp/.
