Vineyard Wind

Vineyard Wind has leased BOEM lease block OCS-A 0501 a 166,886 acre offshore area 14 miles south of Martha's Vineyard, MA. Vineyard Wind’s current project is for a proposed 800 megawatt (MW) wind farm that will deliver electricity via a submarine export cable to Hyannis, Massachusetts. The offshore wind project will consist of up to 106 turbines spaced on average 0.86 nautical miles apart. As of November 9, 2018 Vineyard Wind will be using a larger turbine of 9.5MW that will require only 84 turbines to meet the project need.
