Invasive Plant Management Certification

The Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council would like to announce this two-day training offered by the URI Outreach Center as part of its Coastal Landscapes Program. The goal of the training is to help green industry professionals working in the coastal zone to provide environmentally sound invasive plant management services to clients, and to restore degraded coastal habitats. Training topics include:

  • Site assessment and inventory
  • Landscape management plan development
  • Control measure selection
  • Invasive plant removal
  • Revegetation
  • Monitoring
  • Maintenance
