...to preserve, protect, develop, and restore coastal resources for all Rhode Islanders
Bristol Shoreline Access Walking Tour
Join us on a walking tour of Bristol public shoreline access sites! We will talk about how you can find these sites, how you might use them, and what to do if you think a site is public, but it looks private. Many public shoreline rights-of-way are also storm drain areas - we'll look at how Bristol has renovated stormwater filtration at one of these sites using green infrastructure for improved water quality.
This short walking tour will be under a mile total and include stops at four public access rights-of-way in Bristol, RI, that are located along the East Bay Bike Path.
Speakers during the tour will include Bristol Harbor Master Gregg Marsili, Leah Feldman of the Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council, and Janet Freedman of the URI Coastal Institute.
This event is free but registration is required. Details for where to park and meet will be emailed to you after you register. If you have questions, please contact Monica Allard Cox at allard@uri.edu.
This walking tour is sponsored by CRMC, Rhode Island Sea Grant, and the URI Coastal Institute.
