PLACE: Sandy Point Beach, 20 Ives Road, Warwick

Join us for a walking tour of Sandy Point Beach and the surrounding Potowomut area to talk about:

  • Shoreline access rights in Rhode Island
  • How you can tell where public rights-of-way are located
  • How to determine the public beach from private property

Bring your questions!

Led by:

  • Janet Freedman, URI Coastal Institute, retired Coastal Resources Management Council (CRMC) coastal geologist
  • Wenley Ferguson, director of habitat restoration at Save The Bay
  • Dean Pimentel (tentative), senior planner at City of Warwick 

This event is free but registration is required. Details regarding parking and where to meet will be emailed to you after you register. If you have questions, please contact Monica Allard Cox at allard@uri.edu.
