NARRAGANSETT – The Rhode Island Sea Grant College Program and the University of Rhode Island Coastal Resources Center will be conducting training on the tools it used along with the R.I. Coastal Resources Management Council in developing the Rhode Island Ocean Special Area Management Plan (SAMP).
The interactive workshop on Coastal and Marine Spatial Planning (CMSP) will allow participants to personalize content for their own initiatives while meeting learning needs and gaining valuable and constructive feedback from peers and key members of the Ocean SAMP team. Post-training mentoring will also be available for participants. The training will reflect the most current standards for CMSP policy, including the CMSP framework outlined in the “Final Recommendations of the Interagency Ocean Policy Task Force.”
Please note that spaces are limited and registration is on a first come, first serve basis.
