Regarding the vehicle limit at the East Beach sand trail

It has come to our attention that people are objecting to the revised parking lot limit of 30 cars at the East Beach sand trail. Please know that all regulations regarding the use of the East Beach facilities are created, managed, regulated and implemented by the RI Department of Environmental Management. The CRMC only issues permits for the use of vehicles on the beach areas. We do not have jurisdiction over how many vehicles the parking area can accommodate.

However we have taken your concerns and suggestions and forwarded them to RIDEM Parks & Recreation staff for their consideration.
