Policies and Procedures (P&P) Subcommittee Meeting — August 25, 2020; 4:00 p.m.

In accordance with notice of the Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council’s Planning & Procedures subcommittee, a meeting was held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. utilizing the Zoom Platform. All members, staff and participants were present on Zoom.

Call to Order. Chair Cervenka called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.

Chair Cervenka called for a motion to approve the minutes of the July 28, 2020 subcommittee meeting.

Mr. Gomez seconded by Ms. Reynolds moved to approve the meeting minutes of July 28, 2020. All voted in favor of the motion.

Item 4.A – Management Procedures 650-RICR-10-00-1 – Amend § 1.4.6(A)(5) Applications for Council Assent/Fees. J. Willis introduced the basis for and J. Boyd explained the revisions to the fee schedule. J. Boyd explained that a new lowest application fee is being proposed to be $50 for projects that have an Estimated Project Cost (EPC) of less than $500. Currently, the lowest such fee is $100 for EPCs of less than $1,000. With this proposal, J. Boyd explained that the remainder of the application fees associated with each EPC would also be adjusted accordingly. Mr. Liberti suggested minor grammar/syntax changes to the proposed application fee to ensure consistency throughout the schedule.

Mr. Gomez seconded by Ms. Reynolds moved to approve the proposed revisions to the fee schedule as revised by Mr. Liberti’s suggestion. All voted in favor of the motion.

ADJOURNMENT. Ms. Montanaro, seconded by Ms. Reynolds, moved to adjourn. All voted in favor of the motion and the meeting was adjourned at 4:22 p.m.
