The Narrow River, also known as the Pettaquamscutt River, is located in southern Rhode Island. It is a narrow tidal inlet that opens into the Atlantic Ocean at Narragansett Beach.

The purpose of the Narrow River Special Area Management Plan (SAMP) is to provide for the integration and coordination of the protection of natural resources, the promotion of reasonable coastal-dependent economic growth, and the improved protection of life and property.
