RI Shellfish Management Plan meeting on March 20th

Please join us on March 20th from 4 - 6 pm for the 2nd RI Shellfish Management Plan (SMP) Stakeholder Meeting. The meeting will be held in the Corless Auditorium in the Watkins Building at the URI Bay Campus, Narragansett, RI.

The purpose of the meeting will be to:

1) Provide an update of the SMP, including the Plan's progress, on-going projects, proposed next steps; and

2) Present draft goals of the SMP for public review.

In addition, we have invited Angelo Liberti, Chief of Surface Water Protection, Office of Water Quality, RI DEM, to respond specifically to the issues many of you brought up concerning water quality, shellfish closures, and monitoring.
