Recreational Fishing
Rhode Island Recreational Fishing Tool

Recreational fishing is a significant component of the Ocean State's economic, social, and cultural fabric, and is playing a growing role in Rhode Island's increasingly diverse Blue Economy.

In partnership with the Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, the University of Rhode Island Coastal Resources Center, and Rhode Island Sea Grant, the Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council (CRMC) created the Rhode Island Recreational Fishing Tool to identify valued recreational fishing locations in Rhode Island state waters.

This tool will be used by CRMC and other resource managers to enhance decision making. It will also assist anglers to identify fishing hot spots, public access sites, and other information that will enhance their use of Rhode Island state coastal waters.
