May 31, 2016, 5:30–6:30
Save The Bay, 100 Save The Bay Drive, Providence

Hurricane season begins on June 1. Be ready by learning to use the MyCoast StormReporter App to document flooding and storm damage after storm events.

The Coastal Resources Management Council in partnership with the URI Coastal Resources Center, RI Sea Grant and Save The Bay, will host a training for volunteers who are interested in using the MyCoast app to take photos that can be directly uploaded to a website and shared in real time with local emergency officials and coastal planners. Learn how to safely document flooding, shoreline erosion and post storm damage. The app can also be used to document flooding during King Tides, which are the highest tides of the year.

Please RSVP to July Lewis, jlewis@savebay.org 401 – 272-3540 x130.

MyCoast Rhode Island is a portal to upload photos of high tides, storm and flooding events. For more information, check www.mycoast.org/ri.
